Power Combination with Hemp-Green Seed Salad
This salad is a real energy kick and is full of good ingredients right down to the last bite. Packed with proteins and omega-3 fatty acids from chickpeas and hemp seeds, your body and mind will be optimally supplied.
If you don't know Grünkern yet, you should definitely try this great grain. Green spelt is the half-ripened grain of spelt. It is usually well tolerated and convinces with its nutty taste.
On top of that, the pomegranate in the recipe contains important vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, such as potassium, iron, as well as B vitamins and vitamin C.

Our hemp green spelt salad is vegan and not gluten-free.
For a gluten-free version, you can use buckwheat as an alternative, but this brings its own flavour to the dish and is not to everyone's taste. The Inca grain quinoa is also a very good alternative.
Ingredients for 2-4 servings of hemp green spelt salad
- 200g green spelt
- 200g chickpeas (from the can)
- 100g pomegranate seeds (we used frozen seeds in the recipe)
- 50g Hulled hemp seeds
- ½ bunch fresh mint
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- Juice ½ lemon
- 1 TSP Hemp Puree Premium
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 pinch of pepper

- Prepare the green spelt according to the instructions on the packet. Ideally, soak the grain in water for at least 1 hour before preparation, then pour off the water and boil the green spelt with fresh water.
- For the dressing, finely chop the mint and mix with the lemon juice, olive oil, hemp puree, salt and pepper. Season the dressing to taste.
- Once the green spelt is ready, mix it with the chickpeas, pomegranate seeds and hemp seeds. Now just mix the salad well with the dressing and enjoy.
Of course, you can jazz up your salad with your favourite vegetables and add delicious toppings, such as Hemp Crunchies sprinkle on top. As is often the case, there are no limits to your creativity, the main thing is that it tastes good.
