Chocolate Hemp Biscuits Recipe

Less calories and full of flavour: Thanks to the hemp protein, the chocolate hemp biscuits are ideal for conscious gourmets and thus provide valuable vegetable protein. In addition, hemp protein brings a special, nutty taste to the biscuits. The hemp biscuits become even crunchier when you add unhulled hemp seeds into the mass.

Overview

Ingredients for approx. 30 chocolate hemp biscuits

  • 220 g spelt flour
  • 80 g Organic Hemp Protein High Fiber (or hemp flour)
  • 100 g brown sugar or coconut blossom sugar
  • 100 g butter or margarine (chilled)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 package baking powder
  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder
  • For crispy biscuits: 40g unhulled hemp seeds admit

10 minutes preparation time
30 minutes total preparation time

Preparation:

  1. First, mix all the ingredients into a shortcrust pastry. If the dough is not firm enough, simply add a little more flour.
  2. Then place the mixture in a bowl and cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  3. After the resting time, preheat the oven to 180° C.
  4. Roll out the dough thinly and cut out the biscuits.
  5. Bake the chocolate hemp biscuits in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes.

Tip: Don't skimp on cocoa powder
