What makes speed skating so unique for you?
Speed skating is a unique sport, mainly because of the perfect interplay of technique, power and elegance. You have to be equally good in each area to make it to the top of the world. Therefore, speed skating is also a very varied sport in training. Finally, it is an extremely exciting sport, because in the end it is usually thousandths of a second that decide victory or defeat. Speed skating is the only sport in which you can reach speeds of up to over 60 km/h under your own power and without mechanical transmission.
What is your secret recipe?
In my opinion, the most important thing is the environment you are in. Without family, friends and supporters, you won't get far. First and foremost, you have to feel good about what you do and where you are. The most crucial point for top performance is the head.
